Things to Know

Poncey-Highland is an electric Atlanta neighborhood rich in history and art, located just south of Virginia Highlands. Home of the Plaza Theater, this is the perfect location for residents and visitors to take in art-deco themes and refurbished warehouses. With the Beltline in its backyard, you’re just a hop, skip, or bike-ride away from Atlanta's best restaurants, breweries, and people-watching.

Developers have poured large investments into upgrading Poncey-Highland, so you’ll find many abandoned buildings turned into dynamic restaurants and 1920’s cottage homes flipped in value towards $1 million. This area has seen quite the revitalization, but the history remains and is still a selling point for many visitors.

Neighborhood Life

Bordered by Old Fourth Ward and Little Five Points, Poncey Highland is a charismatic little neighborhood. It's great for all who enjoy the art scene, locally-owned shops, and off the beaten path dining experiences. With Freedom Park running through most of this neighborhood, you're most likely to spend time outdoors. It offers newcomers the chance to socialize and meet people in your area.

Local Hangouts

If you ask a local where to go on a Friday night in Poncey-Highland, you're most likely to hear about Hotel Clermont and Lounge. This is one of the city's oldest landmarks with three levels of fun.

You can enjoy a day on the rooftop with skyline views, head down to the hotel for a steak dinner at Tiny Lou’s, and grab a drink downstairs at Atlanta's first and longest-running bar. There are always art installations in the park’s green space and food festivals such as Taste of Atlanta. Home of the Poncey-Highland Playground and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, you can easily find fun for the whole family.

Things to Know

Poncey-Highlands is pretty central to all of intown’s happenings. It's a very walkable commute, and Marta is very accessible for those who work in different parts of town. There are plans to continue growing this community, but developers have promised to stay true to its original character and electric spirit.

Wow! What a time saver! Had a short time to find apartment and after an introduction call, where we discussed my needs/wants, Liz sent me over a list of potential apartments. She then set up all the appointments as I was flying in for 2 days to view. She found places that fit my budget and desires and selected the second apartment viewed as it was perfect! I cannot rave enough…

Wow! There's so much to say about this wonderful company and my agent, Brenna, that I don't even know where to start! First of all, I felt as if I was a friend and not just a customer. I moved to Atlanta from another state and I needed an apartment ASAP. Brenna was professional, kind, empathetic, friendly, and efficient. Secondly, she contacted me almost every other day to…

Please do yourself a favor and work with John Vinson @ AptAmigo. I have lived in the Atlanta area for 4 years and this place has grown so much since I first moved here. So many more complexes and so little time to check and compare them all. John found me and took the reigns helping guide me to the proper complexes that fit my style and requirements. He is well organized and…

I highly recommend Addison Ruhlmans' services from AptAmigo. She helped my family find a great apartment in downtown Denver with alot or requirements. We would not have found this place ourselves, and we are very internet savvy. We really appreciated her recommends. Thanks again

I worked with John Vinson & he was amazing. John listened to my needs & my wants and he sent me a good list of quality apartments that fit my preference. He set up the tours for me and followed up every step of the way. Once I found a property that I liked, he called the property to get the ball rolling for me with the application & approval process. This has really be a smooth, quick and easy process.
