I'm glad I chose here. High quality units and at a good value. We'll see if the COVID/amenities issue improves by the summertime.
What did you like most?
Quality of the interior of the units is very good. The cost of the apartment rent makes it a good value too. Sound-proofing between rooms and between floors is good. Good view and visual privacy due to being high up with a west-facing unit. Nice place to live. Spacious and private parking garage with single convenient elevator straight from parking to apartment floors or lobby. Management and concierge staff are always very nice. The gym is good for an apartment gym.
What did you like least?
Train noise from the stupid brown line is surprisingly loud despite being a block away and me living more than 15 floors up. I use a white noise machine to sleep and it's tolerable. Noise from hallway is rare but very audible when it happens. The rules related to COVID are very strict and make it hard to use the amenities. I haven't been able to get maintenance done in my unit since I moved in (>2months) because of COVID and it's not an 'emergency'. There's a bright light from a nearby parking lot that shines into my unit all night and is quite annoying. The view from the East-facing units is blocked by Gallery on Wells. Pool and roofdeck area is too small and will probably be hard to use on a nice summer day.

If you want an energized urban experience, River North Chicago is the neighborhood for you. Its unique blend of commerce, housing, and tourism makes it one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Chicago. Most River North residences are glass or brick high rises, and a smaller portion of residents live in converted warehouse lofts. If you’re a local, River North doesn’t offer as much communal or park space as other neighborhoods, but pet lovers still take advantage of the neighborhood’s pet-friendly buildings and river views. If walkable streets are a must, check out Gold Coast or Fulton River District.
With easy access to Chicagoland highways (I-90/94 and Lakeshore Drive), CTA Brown Line and Red Line, and The Loop (within walking distance), commuting from River North is usually a breeze… unless you’re driving during rush hour.
If you live in Chicago and like to stay out late, River North is probably where you’ll end up. With clubs like Tao, bars like Bub City, Three Dots, and Dash, as well as music venues like Howl at the Moon and The Redhead Piano Bar— River North is a party every night of the week.
