One of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods, Five Points, boasts a diverse history dating back to the pre-Capitol Hill era. Previously known for a short time as the “Harlem of the West,” Five Points has hosted many famous jazz musicians throughout the years. Victorian homes of the 1900s still stand, many of which have been renovated or converted into duplexes. Although this area contains mostly single-family homes, a few residential complexes have sprung up in recent years along Welton Street.
