I like the actual apartment but the building management, cleanliness, and communication is very poor.
What did you like most?
The actual unit is spacious and the building is in a great location.
What did you like least?
- hallways are unpainted and carpets stained - staff is kind but I have to follow up several times before things get done - low/no communication: no updates on when the roof will be open, how to use the new access system, when things are broken and will be fixed - poor welcome when i moved in, just handed a folder and key with no walk to the unit or tour until I asked - things are regularly broken such as gates in and out of garage, fob system, elevator - my unit was dirty when i moved in and took a week to be cleaned and still wasnt cleaned well - security is poor: a lot of non residents know the door code and people leave doors propped open; the security gate in the garage will regularly break and be open for days at a time; windows to stairwells in the garage are broken; packages are stolen often.

Other Austin neighborhoods simply can’t match East Austin’s current speed of growth. Similar to places like Williamsburg in New York City or Echo Park in Los Angeles, young adults have started to make this area of the city their own urban paradise, complete with bars, restaurants, boutiques, and yoga studios galore.

If the prevalence of man-buns and tattoo sleeves doesn’t clue you in, this area plays a major role in Austin’s live music scene, with everything from indie rock to honky-tonk jams blaring through the doors of neighborhood venues on a nightly basis. Not to mention the number of innovative restaurants that have set down roots here, from Texas-takes on Japanese cuisine (brisket ramen, anyone?) to duck confit tacos, East Austin’s reputation for blending fine-dining with a laid-back, casual atmosphere manifests in these creative spaces.
