I have had a great experience in this building. The management is very nice and helpful and I absolutely love the neighborhood. I am paying a very reasonable price for rent especially considering how great my location is.
What did you like most?
The location.
What did you like least?
My building is very old (electric heating and individual AC units; carpet) and the amenities are lacking. We have laundry in the building (all on one floor, the mezzanine, which you pay with a pre-loaded card), which I appreciate but it would be a plus to have in-unit washer/dryers. No rooftop, no pool and no gym. This is kind of a list of what we're missing (which I'm sure explains the reasonable price) but this list of things would make this apartment building an ideal place to live.

Wonderful place to live
What did you like most?
Gorgeous views, really helpful management and attentive maintenance
What did you like least?
Electric heat, makes for inconsistent heat in winter months (either way too hot or way too cold)

Lincoln Park

Just north of Old Town, Lincoln Park is one of the largest and most popular Chicago neighborhoods– and for good reason. Most residents are a short distance away from some of the best nightlife, dining, lakefront parks, shopping, and tree-lined streets in the entire city. It combines all the best aspects of a close-knit community with the appeal of the big city. This means rental prices can be high.

Residents live mostly in walk-ups, but there are quite a few high-rises, especially near the lake. Lincoln Parkers are spoiled with their close proximity to the lake and ample running and biking trails. Lincoln Park has the second largest shopping concentration in the city: ranging from high-end boutiques to secondhand resale shops.

Lincoln Park also offers public tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds, and soccer fields that are used recreationally and by intramural leagues. Weekends can be spent strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo, hitting a bucket of golf balls at the Diversey Bay Harbor, or heading to Lakeview or The Loop easily via the Brown Line.
