The studio apartment I lived in had nice hardwood floors, tall ceilings and windows, an updated ikea modern kitchen. Lincoln park is an amazing neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars. The building is a block from Lincoln Park Zoo. The downside is on a very busy street, so there is a lot of noise.
What did you like most?
I like the nice features of the apartment, like the hardwoods floors and updated kitchen, and the location is amazing.
What did you like least?
There are basically no amenities to this building except each floor has shared laundry in the hallways right outside your door. Also, we had the electricity go out many times (probably 8+ times) over the course of two years. Sometimes it was due to a storm, or construction, other times it may have been because the building is older.

Location

Lincoln Park

Just north of Old Town, Lincoln Park is one of the largest and most popular Chicago neighborhoods– and for good reason. Most residents are a short distance away from some of the best nightlife, dining, lakefront parks, shopping, and tree-lined streets in the entire city. It combines all the best aspects of a close-knit community with the appeal of the big city. This means rental prices can be high.

Residents live mostly in walk-ups, but there are quite a few high-rises, especially near the lake. Lincoln Parkers are spoiled with their close proximity to the lake and ample running and biking trails. Lincoln Park has the second largest shopping concentration in the city: ranging from high-end boutiques to secondhand resale shops.

Lincoln Park also offers public tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds, and soccer fields that are used recreationally and by intramural leagues. Weekends can be spent strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo, hitting a bucket of golf balls at the Diversey Bay Harbor, or heading to Lakeview or The Loop easily via the Brown Line.
