Good building for the money. Other nearby buildings have nicer amenities, but you cannot beat Millennium Park Plaza for the cost. What do you like most: I am a Chicago Booth Student. My favorite part is how many other Booth students live here. What do you like least: Sales tactics. The salesperson pressured us into getting a unit by saying it was the last one. The waitlist process for getting units was never clear to me.

Great for Booth 1 years. Feels like a dormitory. The location is excellent. Wouldn't say it's a residential area but everything is near. The cost is reasonable, however the heating control is manual and the filters are filthy.

The atmosphere and location.

Heating, amenities, loud parties (even as a Booth student, the loud hallways are very annoying).

Coming from NYC, getting this much space at this kind of rent was amazing. That said, I recognize that MPP is not a great building by Chicago standards, and the staff (particularly at the front desk and in the parcel room) seem unhelpful sometimes. The gym is not great, but at least there is an indoor pool!

Comfortable, very good for the specific purpose of staying here while studying at UChicago, but does not feel like a "home"

The area seems interesting at first but it is a bit boring and very "yuppy- jock-esque" and in general not my style

I chose the building because it's convenient. I'm an MBA student at University of Chicago and many of us live in the building because it's convenient and the building tries to somewhat cater to the student body (although they don't really do a good job). If a nearby apt building tried to convert the majority of the student body, it would probably be pretty easy.

Good. I know many Chicago Booth students complain about MPP, but overall I have had a solid experience. Terry Patrick has been helpful and responsive when I needed it.
I have dealt with many terrible landlords and management firms, and the "problems" at MPP are nothing compared to what I dealt with in D.C. or LA. It's not five star service, but it's also not a five star price. I have no major complaints other than long elevator wait times during peak traffic.
What did you like most?
Rental price. Good price for the area and affordable for a student budget.
What did you like least?
Long elevator wait times during peak traffic and the neighborhood around the building doesn't offer great food or night life.

New East Side
New East Side Chicago is a residential community just east of the heart of the city. This neighborhood is made up of luxury condos and high-rise rentals that surround Lakeshore East Park. New East Side is situated downtown but remains secluded and is tucked away from tourists.
It’s rare to find dining, shopping, and other entertainment options in the neighborhood, but they are only a quick walk away. Residents love that this area is a pedestrian’s paradise, as well as its proximity to Streeterville and River North.
New East Side housing is mostly new, full-amenity high rises with incredible views of Lake Michigan. Due to the neighborhood's location and the prevalence of luxury amenities, residents pay a significant premium.
Locals can be found hanging out at the local park, stopping by their favorite coffee shop, and walking their furry friends by the lake.
