It's been great overall. Convenient location for accessing the city. What do you like most: Lake view. What do you like least: Street performers two blocks away come through loud and clear.

Moderately enjoyed living at the Joffrey Tower. Very convenient for the train commute down to UChicago in Hyde Park. Second best part Unparalleled accessibility to all CTA lines - I really explored Chicago the year I lived there. This was largely offset by a mediocre management, a touristy neighborhood that felt unsafe at night, and a lack of nearby dining or nightlife.
What did you like most?
Accessibility to all CTA lines - going out in Logan Square, South Loop, West Loop, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, and River North was always a breeze. Easy access to Millenium Park, Grant Park, and Lakeshore drive. The Walgreens at State and Randolph. It was always energizing working out in view of the Chicago Theater.
What did you like least?
Drums on State Street waking me up early on the weekends. Very touristy neighborhood that gets over-run with homeless people. My fiancee occasionally felt uncomfortable traveling to the apartment on her own late at night. There was one incident where a homeless man walked in to the building behind a resident and scared someone in their unit. Security measures improved as a result. Very few solid dining options or nightlife, which made things tough in the middle of winter. In the summer, River North is close enough.
