Building

Overview

Slightly older building, but decent value for the area. Full amenity building, but the amenities don't have a “wow factor.” Some floor plans are very well laid out. 1 bedroom units can feel small pending the floor plan.

8 East 9th Street is a new construction (2009), full-amenity rental building in South Loop.

Reviews

Good. Rent is increasing. Supposed to be consistent with the neighborhood, but feels pricey compared to previous locations in Chicago. Amenities also include onsite dry cleaning pick-up and drop off device (with lockers).

What did you like most?

Proximity to lake and red/ orange lines , dry cleaning service, and indoor parking.

What did you like least?

College students in the building.

Positive - rent feels high for the amenities, but will likely become more competitive as new buildings come onto the market nearby.

Amazing!

safe, convenient neighborhood

What did you like most?

Laundry in the room

What did you like least?

pool too small, gym so small

The building is very nice and the location is outstanding. Far enough south to not get too many tourists and a few blocks from Grant park and museums.
