Only 2 units in my building, it's a walk up, that is above a pizza restaurant. The noise from the restaurant can be annoying late at night, and we have a south facing wall that makes it feel like our apartment bakes in the sun and isn't insulated in the winter. As such, temperature regulation is lacking.
What did you like most?
Awesome porch for only 4 people to rent it, could probably have 30 people on it at once. Layout is nice, repair man is prompt when we have issues.
What did you like least?
Generic white counter tops and appliances. Dirt is easily noticeable and due to the pizza restaurant the HV/AC produces a lot of dust. Moving in was difficult as the stairwell was steep and the angles were tight. I was barely able to move my couch in.

Lincoln Park

Just north of Old Town, Lincoln Park is one of the largest and most popular Chicago neighborhoods– and for good reason. Most residents are a short distance away from some of the best nightlife, dining, lakefront parks, shopping, and tree-lined streets in the entire city. It combines all the best aspects of a close-knit community with the appeal of the big city. This means rental prices can be high.

Residents live mostly in walk-ups, but there are quite a few high-rises, especially near the lake. Lincoln Parkers are spoiled with their close proximity to the lake and ample running and biking trails. Lincoln Park has the second largest shopping concentration in the city: ranging from high-end boutiques to secondhand resale shops.

Lincoln Park also offers public tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds, and soccer fields that are used recreationally and by intramural leagues. Weekends can be spent strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo, hitting a bucket of golf balls at the Diversey Bay Harbor, or heading to Lakeview or The Loop easily via the Brown Line.
