Great! It is an amazing first apartment in Chicago a couple years out of college. I live a block away from Wrigley and two blocks away from Boystown so there are endless nightlife/restaurant options. What do you like most: Location to the train is amazing-I have a 2 minute walk to the top of the platform. There is easy access to food and nightlife as well, which is fun. Overall, I've loved living on W Addison! The apartment is also cat friendly. What do you like least: It can get extremely loud and crazy busy especially during larger events like Cubs games, Pride, or the other festivals in the neighborhood. The other downfall is that we aren't that conveniently located to a gym, and the closest ones are pretty expensive. This will probably be the reason we chose to leave for a more quieter area.

It's painfully close to Wrigley Field and the Red Line, so the ambient noise can be pretty bothersome. The building is no frills, and the apartment is spacious, light-filled, and comfortable. The neighborhood is hard to characterize - the building itself is right on the border of Wrigleyville and Boystown, so it's both saturated with the post-college/sports/drunk crowd, and also LGBT friendly. Not my favorite location in Chicago (caveat: I've got hipster leanings), but it's also close to pretty much everything, so overall it's a wash.
What did you like most?
The light and space of the apartment. And the fact that my neighbors have never complained about my loud speakers or subwoofer (though I try to be considerate about when I crank them up).
What did you like least?
The constant industrial noises emanating from the trains and buses and frequent road construction, and the often asinine human interactions taking place right outside on the street during Cubs games and weekends. The demographics of this location do not inspire warm vibes about human nature.

I love my apartment. The building itself does not have many amenities (no gym, pool, elevator or communal space), but the apartment is a good size for the rent, especially the kitchen, which is important to me.
What did you like most?
I like the kitchen and the fact that the apartment has two bathrooms.
What did you like least?
The temperature control is not great. It can get cold in the winter, even if the heat is turned up, but the management is proactive about sending maintenance to fix any issues.
