I have enjoyed my experience in this building. I just renewed my lease for a third (and probably final) year, which was mostly because I didn't want the trouble of moving, but I would not have stayed if I did not like it. The management is mostly pretty attentive as long as you reach out- my roommate and I had absolutely terrible shower pressure for the first year we lived there, but once we finally mentioned something they gave us a new showerhead that fixed the problem. Never had any safety concerns (only incident I know if is that someone broke into the mailroom about 3 months ago). I wish there was more social interaction between tenants, but I don't think that's the fault of management. I would recommend this building to someone who was considering it.

Management is just OK. You can tell BJB is a big company. The building is often described as "like a fancy old hotel," and that's a decent description. The penthouse unit is fantastic with great Chicago views and a private roof patio.

Location & Neighborhood

Lincoln Park

Just north of Old Town, Lincoln Park is one of the largest and most popular Chicago neighborhoods– and for good reason. Most residents are a short distance away from some of the best nightlife, dining, lakefront parks, shopping, and tree-lined streets in the entire city. It combines all the best aspects of a close-knit community with the appeal of the big city. This means rental prices can be high.

Residents live mostly in walk-ups, but there are quite a few high-rises, especially near the lake. Lincoln Parkers are spoiled with their close proximity to the lake and ample running and biking trails. Lincoln Park has the second largest shopping concentration in the city: ranging from high-end boutiques to secondhand resale shops.

Lincoln Park also offers public tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds, and soccer fields that are used recreationally and by intramural leagues. Weekends can be spent strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo, hitting a bucket of golf balls at the Diversey Bay Harbor, or heading to Lakeview or The Loop easily via the Brown Line.
