Outstanding - landlord is very attentive, and goes above and beyond what I've come to expect from living in apartments run by management companies and independent owners alike. Our appliances are all new, the hardwood floors were sanded and refinished prior to move-in, we have a private porch and communal patio that are meticulously maintained, and the rent has only been raised once (by $10/month) since I've lived there.

What did you like most?

Most everything. Affordably priced, relative to other neighborhoods I've lived in (Lakeview and Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village), good proximity to both El and Metra, much larger and much nicer space than I've seen elsewhere in Chicago (for the price), and nearby to some of my favorite breweries, bars, and restaurants. Can't see myself living elsewhere while in Chicago.

What did you like least?

It's a walkup, which made move-in difficult (and a "second" such move, when my girlfriend joined me), but this is obviously infrequent enough that it doesn't merit much complaint.
