Close to grocery stores (Jewel/Trader Joes), Dunkin/Starbucks, and the red line. Walkings distance to the lake, which was a must for me. Building overall has a nice staff, my neighbors are all very welcoming and the apartment has everything I would need (printing, gym, etc.). Would recommend to any of my friends!
What did you like most?
The space and layout of the apartment. Walls, flooring, countertops, etc - all good quality. I love my balcony, floor to ceiling windows and closet space as well.

Dedicated dog area normally smells pretty bad

Very good. Amenities and new lobby have been major improvements during past year.
What did you like most?
Great location, unit soundproofing is excellent, maintenance is very efficient. A variety of grocery options within less than 1/2 mile radius.

Water pressure could be better, more in-unit storage

South Loop

The South Loop has been the center of new residential construction in Chicago for the last decade as people have realized just how convenient it is. South Loop boasts a large amount of green space, Soldier Field, and an easy commute to The Loop. While many South Loop buildings are brand new high rises, the rent is comparably more affordable than other neighborhoods.

Taking a lakeshore stroll or running along the lake is easy for South Loopers, with its convenient location. Residents of South Loop can be found dining outside at a cafe or taking advantage of their building’s ample amenities on weeknights. The weekends in South Loop are spent walking to Shedd Aquarium or Adler planetarium for whimsical exploration. Or, using the money saved on rent to attend Lollapalooza or go shopping downtown.

Because South Loop is mostly residential, the nightlife options here are slim to none. Most people head downtown for their entertainment, which makes this neighborhood a quiet place to settle down.
