I lived in this building for 5 five years. It was great for me as a DePaul Student. Its close to campus, close to the trains, and Lincoln Park is a fantastic neighborhood to live in.

What did you like most?

I lived in one of the units with a private entrance. That was amazing!

What did you like least?

The walls could be better insulated.

It was fun living with my college friends. It was close to Depaul's campus and classes. However, the management seemed really strict. It was also really loud and kind of immature. Some of my friends in other apartments had nicer/better experiences than I did.

Neighborhood

Just north of Old Town, Lincoln Park is one of the largest and most popular Chicago neighborhoods– and for good reason. Most residents are a short distance away from some of the best nightlife, dining, lakefront parks, shopping, and tree-lined streets in the entire city. It combines all the best aspects of a close-knit community with the appeal of the big city. This means rental prices can be high.

Residents live mostly in walk-ups, but there are quite a few high-rises, especially near the lake. Lincoln Parkers are spoiled with their close proximity to the lake and ample running and biking trails. Lincoln Park has the second largest shopping concentration in the city: ranging from high-end boutiques to secondhand resale shops. Lincoln Park also offers public tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds, and soccer fields that are used recreationally and by intramural leagues. Weekends can be spent strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo, hitting a bucket of golf balls at the Diversey Bay Harbor, or heading to Lakeview or The Loop easily via the Brown Line.
