This neighborhood gets its name from the beautiful Cheesman Park that takes up about one-quarter of the neighborhood. Built on a historic cemetery, this grassy field is home to Denver’s favorite ghost stories. However, that doesn’t keep scores of sunbathers, soccer players, and dogs off its lawn. Find Denverites throwing frisbees, playing volleyball, or picnicking during warmer months at this popular spot. As far as parking is concerned: this neighborhood is sandwiched between two of the most congested areas. Situated between Cap Hill and City Park West, residents sometimes struggle to find convenient street parking. Thankfully, the walkability of Cheesman Park more than makes up for this. Because this neighborhood is so popular, parking is extremely hard to come by—especially during business hours. Thankfully, RTD buses run constantly and consistently in this area so you’re able to get around with ease. Cheesman Park residents are generally active and outdoorsy. Find locals setting up a net and playing volleyball or spending their weekend throwing the ball with their rescue pup. If you enjoy walking through nature, you’ll love this area. The Cheeseman Park neighborhood has primarily low to mid-rise buildings.
