The Sondery Apartments

This has been a negative experience so far. I relocated to Austin from out of town, so my tours were all virtual. I told the leasing staff my top priorities were a dog park and a pet spa. The leasing office told me that they had both amenities on site and even went as far to tell me that my unit was “perfect because (you) can walk right outside to the pet spa”. There is NO pet spa OR dog park. There is a public spot of grass outside the building they named “dog run” but it is not fenced in, so you can’t actually have your dog off-leash. It is also public property of the neighborhood, so non-residents are always cutting through and/or soliciting. In the few months i’ve lived here, I have dealt with multiple encounters with homeless people trying to break into the building. The next door night club blasts music until 3 am. The garage door has been broken twice, the management only responds to about 50% of my emails, the building is riddled with all kinds of pests (roaches, spiders, crickets) and maintenance has not been responsive about pest control. I would not have picked to live here if I had seen it in person.
