New East Side Chicago is a residential community just east of the heart of the city. This neighborhood is made up of luxury condos and high-rise rentals that surround Lakeshore East Park. New East Side is situated downtown but remains secluded and is tucked away from tourists.


It’s rare to find dining, shopping, and other entertainment options in the neighborhood, but they are only a quick walk away. Residents love that this area is a pedestrian’s paradise, as well as its proximity to Streeterville and River North.


New East Side housing is mostly new, full-amenity high rises with incredible views of Lake Michigan. Due to the neighborhood's location and the prevalence of luxury amenities, residents pay a significant premium.

In the warmer months, bring a picnic basket and catch Harris Theatre Millennium Park’s free movies and concerts. In the winter, show off your ice skating skills at the Maggie Daley Skating Ribbon and the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink.
