    I live in a relatively new condo at 7018 N. Ashland - in the Rogers Park community. It's a very great street - super quiet and close to numerous of restaurants. I can have authentic Ethiopian, Hispanic, Thai, Indian, Italian, or vegan friendly food all in walking distance. I am also walking distance to the beach which is always great because its not nearly as crowded as Montrose or Oak Street. The amenities in my unit are perfect - I have a garage, washer/dryer in-unit, AC/HVAC, Jacuzzi, private patio, and over 1,600 SQFT of space for super affordable pricing. It's a neighborhood that college kids blend into - it's not like Evanston where its evident that the college dominates the local commerce.

    I love the price points for everything - its so affordable that you just can't resist it!
    What did you like least?
    The neighborhood is losing a lot of his authenticity of being a blended neighborhood. Loyola has been buying up tons of property and gentrifying the hell out of the community. The community still is one of Chicago's most integrated neighborhoods outside of Hyde Park. Yet now when you are on Sheridan its becoming more apparent that the young college brats aren't leaving Rogers Park because of all of its Gems. Which is pricing out the natives. I do not like the commute to the city everyday via the L. However, if you are in Rogers Park they normally recommend you take the train north to the purple line to take the express train straight into the city. Believe it or not it cuts the commute from 50 minutes to about 30 - just with that strategy alone. But still...
