East Nashville is steadily growing, with no shortage of bars, restaurants, and vintage shops. A drive down Gallatin street will show you how quickly this area is transforming from the onslaught of fast-food restaurants. East Nashville is fairly spread out, so owning a car is important in this part of town. While certain areas are walkable, adventuring elsewhere requires wheels. All this “cool” comes with a price tag; East Nashville has gotten very popular over the past four years, and the cost of living has seen a steady rise. There are a few apartment complexes in this neighborhood, but the general trend is living in a house. Perks of a driveway and some outdoor space are common reasons many locals rent homes here.
