It's a cool historic, unique building. The laundry in basement was recently redone. Doormen (part time) friendly. Overall a great place to live w cordial, quiet neighbors. One complaint would be temp control on my apartment. I had to get an oil filled portable radiator and covered windows in 3M wrap, and even then, I was freezing all through winter (even wearing two pairs of pants, sweatshirt, socks at home). Bathroom was hopeless-- used a little space heater. Sometimes yappy dogs barking can echo through the central atrium and be a little disruptive but I wouldn't call it a major problem.
What did you like most?
Friendly doormen, respectful neighbors, unique and historic building (open-air central atrium with glass block catwalks, cage elevator).
What did you like least?
Temperature control in my unit. See above.

My building is near everything- public transportation, the lake, multiple grocery stores. The doorman know you by name and really make you feel welcome. My experience has been nothing but positive.
What did you like most?
It's a vintage building that has an awesome cage elevator and beautiful catwalk hallways. I love the exposed brick in my unit and the high ceilings. It's fairly big for a studio in Chicago.
What did you like least?
It would be nice if I had a dishwasher.
