Great experience with great amenities in my apartment. The building manager/supervisor is extremely nice and friendly. It'd be nice for the building to actually have a doorman as there have been a few instances of sketchy people walking around, and a bike theft. Regardless, I feel very safe in this building and like the convenience of it being so close to public transportation that can either take me downtown, or to school in the morning. What do you like most: Amenities in apartment, Building manager, Convenient location. What do you like least: Lack of doorman.

Generally good. Recently renovated apartment with high-end finishes, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, great rent price given all of this and compared to other units in the building. Surrounding neighborhood (Hyde Park) is a mixed bag. We've had break-ins to the building to try to steal packages from the locked room where they are stored and also had soliciters knocking door-to-door. There is a building manager during business hours but no one at night or on Sundays, and some residents are unreliable about not buzzing in strangers or they aren't strict about not letting strangers follow them into the building. What do you like most: high-end finishes, gorgeous lake view, close to things I need. What do you like least: security issues.

This apartment was FANCY. It had beautiful new wood floors, new appliances and cabinets, sealed double-paned windows, new in-unit washer/dryer, and nice bathrooms. The view north toward the city and lake over the railroad tracks was expansive and gorgeous. I had a small metal balcony that was neat but unnerving to actually be out on. The unit had central air and heat, including humidity control, and an industrial/modern look. It also has a movie theater and bike lock area in the first floor. Parking is available (for fee, I think), which is rare for the neighborhood. The doormen were helpful and handled packages. The building itself is very elegant and beautifully maintained.
What did you like most?
I loved the central air and brand-new appliances best. Nothing was broken at all.
What did you like least?
I found that the high-up apartment kinda freaked me out when the weather got bad. Now I live on a second floor apartment in the trees and I'm more comfortable. I'm not from an area where concierges/doormen are common, and the whole dynamic weirded me out. Everything else about this apartment made life a dream.
