The building has great amenities, but its age shows. Common areas could use an improvement. The windows are old, and the lobby looks a little sad. Gym, pool, laundry room, garage, in-building stores are very convenient and overall provide a good experience. I love the location, right by Lake Shore Drive, because I have easy access to public transportation to downtown, and it's really close to the lakefront path, which I use all the time for running and cycling. The neighborhood is great, although not necessarily for us (married couple with a child). Gay community, Cubs fans, and single people probably love it (boystown, Wrigleyville). Our unit badly needs upgrades, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms, but our landlord is not interested. He didn't even paint the place when we moved in. He is responsive, though, whenever we need anything, and he keeps rent low (probably because he's aware of the need for upgrades).

What did you like most?

Location, by the lake and close to public transportation. Gym (especially in the winter). Front desk staff, maintenance staff 24-7.

What did you like least?

Lobby, windows are old. In our unit: appliances, kitchen and bathroom finish, general shabbiness and disrepair.
