My boyfriend owns the condo, so we have a slightly different experience than what renters / tenants would have. We take care of communicating with our Board of Directors and management whereas that is seamless for our renters. It is an old building, so sometimes "old building" things will happen - random plumbing issues, doors, appliances, etc are not based on today's shapes/sizes. The building has a maintenance team that we usually ask to help out with any issues - they are great!
What did you like most?
I love the old feel of the building inside and the closeness of the building to everything I need - grocery, bars, the red line, lake, Wells street, Michigan Ave, etc. I love the old school crown molding on the ceilings too.
What did you like least?
As I mentioned above, there are sometimes things that happen just because the building is so old and repairs can be complicated because you either have to adapt new parts - for plumbing for example - or find old ones that still fit.
