Overall, I'm very happy with Cityfront Place. I don't think there's a better spot in the city to live with a dog. It's location is so central it's easy to get around everywhere for pups and owners!
What did you like most?
The best thing about this apartment building is how dog friendly it is. The entire staff is loving and patient with everyone's pets, and the location of the building is an absolute dream for pet owners. There are tons of great areas to take walks right out the front door of this building. You don't have to walk far for your dog to put their feet on the earth, which means a lot to our family. The concierge and maintenance staff are also wonderful in this building. They make for a very welcoming environment every time you come home. Lastly, The finishes are really nice and the closet space is phenomenal. There are definitely nicer units out there, but you won't find anything nicer in this price point with this kind of space.
What did you like least?
The knuckleheads who drag race on lower wacker make lots of noise, and you can't avoid the noise from their cars/motorcycles anywhere in the building. It's particularly annoying when the weather is nice and you want to have the windows open.

We really love cityfront place. I think it is the best value in the neighborhood, and I would be hard-pressed to believe that there is a better building to live with a dog anywhere in the city. We're so close to lots of green space and we walk our dog on the river walk every single day.
What did you like most?
We had a beautiful view of Navy Pier!
What did you like least?
Our building has a two pipe HVAC system which means that the building controls when the heat and air conditioning are accessible, which can be a bit of a bummer in the fall when the weather can still get a little warm, and the building has already switched over to heat.

Stayed here while working in Chicago for a few months, relatively close to office but this neighborhood is especially inconvenient for taxis/getting to other parts of the city/etc. Also, no grocery stores, not a lot of options nearby for food/bars. Probably will get better in a couple of years (e.g., Whole Foods ""coming soon""). Also reasonably close to gold coast, however a lot of tourists since near Navy Pier.
What did you like most?
The view from our unit on the 36th floor!
What did you like least?
The location wasn't terribly convenient for a lot of things. Kind of a part of the city that many people don't know about (newer neighborhood).

Location

Streeterville

Streeterville is a lively neighborhood on the shores of Lake Michigan. It combines tourism, residential living, and culture, unlike any other Chicago neighborhood. Every day, thousands of tourists flock to Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile, and the Museum of Contemporary Art to experience some of Chicago’s most iconic attractions. Northwestern’s Chicago campus and Memorial Hospital contribute to Streeterville’s cultural presence.

Residents typically live in high-rise condos or multi-unit apartments where they can enjoy beautiful lake views and easy access to nearby dining and nightlife options. With many lush parks in the neighborhood and Gold Coast to the North, residents have ample space to take dogs for weekend walks.

Commuting via Lake Shore Drive is supremely convenient for Streeterville residents as long as you have a car or can walk to the red line or Michigan Ave buses. Depending on your location within the neighborhood, access to other highways, public transportation, and The Loop can be limited. If you'd like to have easier access to the Loop, check out New East Side.

Streeterville is home to some of Chicago’s best restaurants, bars, and clubs. Although there are plenty of nightlife options, Streeterville is not considered the nightlife capital of Chicago. People often head to other neighborhoods to take part in a more lively nightlife scene.
