Everything else about the building is bad. Horrible smell that can't be fixed coming from bathroom. Windows don't close all the way so freezing air blowning in all the time. The heater doesn't work so I had to get my own space heater. The place was discustingly filthy when I moved in. Actual toe nails all over the carpet. Door handles just falling of. Often no heat in the shower. Cloudy water coming from kitchen Fauct. No hot water in bathroom sink. Dishwasher doesn't work well. The bathtubs drain plug is completely broken. The internet goes out multible times a day.

I absolutely loved living here. The apartments are in great condition and a steal for the price. My one bedroom was huge, tons of storage space and floor to ceiling windows. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new place in the Gold Coast area.
What did you like most?
The best part of living here was the doormen! They are so wonderful, going above and beyond to help out (they even oversaw my furniture deliveries for me and coordinated everything while I was in the process of moving from New York). The management office is also easy to work with and always available if you need anything.
What did you like least?
The building is older with poor window installation, making it expensive to heat the apartment in the winter. Heat is not included in the rent, so for my apartment due to the size/being on the 16th floor it added an extra $150-200+ in utilities depending on how cold it was outside. I also didn't like how limited the restaurant options were - I love food and there aren't a lot of hidden gems in the area.

Gold Coast Chicago is a historic, luxurious neighborhood that has been developed significantly in the last few years. Within the Gold Coast neighborhood, you’ll find a blend of residences, restaurants, shopping, convenient access to Lake Michigan, and boisterous nightlife. Which makes it one of the more unique Chicago neighborhoods.

Gold Coast Chicago housing options are mostly high rises, both old and new, that almost always have spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Despite high prices, there are good deals to be found in older buildings that have been well-kept.

On weekdays tourists and residents frequent the area’s quaint parks, high-end shops, and restaurants. On weeknights, the area offers some of the best socializing and people-watching in the city. After hours, Division Street becomes a hub for those who don’t want the party to stop.

Weekends on Oak Street Beach and Lake Shore Drive are where Gold Coast really shines. Gold Coasters enjoy the ability to walk, jog or bike along Lake Michigan via quick access to the Lakefront Trail.
