Overall, great. I don't rent, I own a condo in the Gold Coast. The board/management is incompetent, and I will probably run for the board later in the year, only out of a sense of obligation to the investment I have in my unit and a commitment to ensuring that the right decisions are made, which in turn affects my property value. I love my building though, it is a mid-rise apartment building with a lot of charm.

Within the Gold Coast neighborhood, you’ll find a blend of residences, restaurants, shopping, convenient access to Lake Michigan, and boisterous nightlife. Which makes it one of the more unique Chicago neighborhoods.

Gold Coast Chicago housing options are mostly high rises, both old and new, that almost always have spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Despite high prices, there are good deals to be found in older buildings that have been well-kept.
